Health Engine: a telehealth platform for doctor-led online care in Malaysia
Health Engine is a Malaysian private telehealth clinic offering doctor-led consultations by video, starting with a 21-day weight loss programme. Fikzdev designed and built the whole platform, from the public website to the patient, doctor and admin dashboards.

What this project had to solve
A telehealth clinic is more than a website. Patients must book a slot, answer a health questionnaire, give consent, pay and join a video call, while doctors need structured notes and admins need to confirm payments. It all has to handle personal health data carefully under Malaysia's PDPA, and new services must be easy to add later.
How the website was built
- A custom Next.js application with a PostgreSQL database, because off-the-shelf booking plugins could not handle questionnaires, consent and three user roles.
- Modular services: each programme has its own questionnaire and pricing, so new services launch as "coming soon" and open when ready.
- Manual bank transfer with receipt upload and admin verification, which suits a clinic starting out without card processing fees.
- Security built in from the start: row-level security, strict security headers, session timeouts and an audit log.

Where it stands today
The platform is live at healthengineconsult.my and takes bookings for its Weight Loss Consultation, with further programmes (general consultation, mental health, diabetes follow-up) set up and shown as opening soon.
